How To Register
Pregnant women can self-refer to the Fraser Valley Birth Collaborative and do not need a doctors referral. The program is open to all women living in the Fraser Valley who have an active BC Medical Services card for the entire duration of pregnancy and post-partum period.
We are a collaborative care practice. Your pregnancy care team could consist of having doctors and midwives. All deliveries take place at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
While we support home birth as a choice for some women, due to our model of practice and logistical constraints, we will not be able to offer this service. We encourage those desiring homebirth to seek out our other local midwifery practices!
If you would like to register with the program:
Step 1: Please read the above information and check out Frequently Asked Questions.
Step 2: Please fill out our registration application below.
Step 3: Our Intake Coordinator will contact you within 1-3 business days by email, text message or phone. Please check your junk email for our messages. If you do not hear from us, please call or text us at 236-260-5800.
Fees
FBC midwifery and physician services are covered by the British Columbia Medical Services Plan, so there is no cost for women with provincial health insurance. Group and Doula care is optional and some fees may apply. Please see our FAQ for more info.
